Description : BACKGROUND

The Department of Tourism (DOT) Region IV-A will actively participate in the Niyogyugan Festival 2025 by mounting an exposition booth that will highlight the unique tourism destinations, local products, cultural traditions, and creative industries of Quezon Province and the wider CALABARZON region.

Celebrated annually, the Niyogyugan Festival is Quezon-s grand celebration of its coconut industry, a major agricultural and economic driver, and showcases the province-s rich culture through street dancing, float parades, trade fairs, culinary exhibits, and other vibrant cultural displays.

This participation is anchored on Republic Act No. 9593 or the Tourism Act of 2009, which recognizes tourism as an engine of national growth and development and mandates the DOT to encourage, promote, and develop tourism as a major socio-economic activity generating foreign exchange and employment and spreading the benefits to local communities.
