III. BACKGROUND/RATIONALE:

In celebration of the Department of Tourism 51st Founding Anniversary of the Department of Tourism, the Administrative Service - Human Resource Division will be conducting the Inter-Agency “Palarong Pinoy” or “Laro ng Lahi” as part of the employee relations program. This event highlights the traditional Filipino games such as Tumbang Preso, Chinese Garter, Sack Race, Luksong Baka, Luksong Lubid, Maria Went to Town, Agawan Base, Sipa, Partintero, and Tug of War.

The program has the following objectives:
• To enact traditional games which reflects the different culture and traditional games of the Philippines that have made significant impact on the Filipino culture.
• To strengthen camaraderie, sportsmanship, and solidarity among DOT family and its attached agencies; and
• To promote an active and healthy lifestyle among DOT family and its attached agencies...
