Item Description: OIL SPILL DISPERSANT - The item is a water based, non flammable compound, free from hydro-carbons and completely bio-degradable, Colour - Colourless to light amber liquid, Solubility - Completely soluble in sea water and fresh water, Flash Point - Product is non-flammable, Biodegradability - Product is completely biodegradable, Specific gravity - 0.95 top 10.03 - Typical 1.01, Cloud point -7degree C, Viscosity - 70 Cst at 20 degree C, Ph - 6.00 to 8.00, Prohibited ingredients - Does not contain chlorinated Hydrocarbons, Benzene, CTC, Cresols, Phenols, Caustic Alkali and free mineral acids, Toxicity - Non-Toxic, Shelf Life - 5 years from date of manufacture, OSD is used un-diluted for ariel spraying. A typical treatment rate is 10 to 50 litres per acre or DOR - Dispersant to oil ratio of 1 in 50 to 1 in 20. Normaly oil thickness is 100 to 200 microns, and it would spread to 1 to 2 tonnes of oil per hectare. Dosage - OSD is designed to disperse from 20 to 30 times its own volume of heavy petroleum oil. i. Type - Type II and or III Oil spill dispersant as per the NOSDCP Circular No. 01 of 2023 dated 3.02.2023 of Indian Coast Guard it is mandatory to comply, ii. Certification - By National Institute of Oceanography, iii. Approval certificate from Indian Coast Guard stating suitable to use in Indian waters from Coastline and beyond, iv. Instructions on ratio or method of usage Should be supplied along with material safety data sheet, v. To be supplied in brand New HM HDPE Drum and vi. The Nett., Tare and Gross weight, Order No., Date, Batch No., and Shelf Life should be embossed in each Drum.
