This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in far subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

This synopsis/solicitation 1305m219q01590 constitutes a request for quotation (rfq) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through federal acquisition circular 2019-02.

The national oceanic atmospheric administration (noaa), national ocean service (nos), hollings marine laboratory (hml), charleston, south carolina has a requirement to replace approximately 123 feet of 1/2" x 2" rigid stainless steel vacuum jacket cryogenic piping designed for transferring ln2 along with all other associated fittings to replace the existing cryogenic piping. Additionally each section of pipe will include a dv6 vacuum tester. The nmr magnets require refilling with ln2 approximately every seven (7) days so the contractor must complete all work associated with the pipe replacement within that 7 day period.

The government will award a firm fixed price contract based on the lowest price technically acceptable (lpta) offer.

This rfq is being issued as a total small business set-aside. The associated naics code is 332420, metal tank (heavy gauge) manufacturing, with a business size standard of 750 employees.
