Gold Plated Silver Medal (WT:20 grams) with silver purity 990.00 as per IS 2112:2014 embossed with I.R. logo on one side and North Central Railway logo on the other side as per specification (copy enclosed). The medal shall be displayed on two Aluminum pillars. Other details as per drawing. 1] The medal with Alumin um pillars with high polished to attain the gloss should be kept in a closed plastic box containing the medal sho uld be removable one for further cleaning of the box and the medal. 2] The fitting of the medal in the box may be placed in proper direction. 3] The colour of the silver medal should not be blackened due to passage of the t ime. 4] The satin cloth which is used as base where the gold plated medal is fixed in the plastic box should be r ed colour. 5] Thickness of gold plating on silver medal minimum 0.5 micron. Plus or Minus 2% tolerance in the weight will be allowed. 6] Inspection of silver grade to be done as per IS 2112: 2014 and gold electroplating as per IS 3266: 1982. 7] Tolerance, wherever not indicated shall be as per IS: 2102 Part I and Part II (Medium toler ance).
