Carrying out Metallurgical Investigation of Rails/SEJ/Weld fractures specimen (samples) of 52 kg/60 kg rails on Konkan Railway Corporation Limited and submission of report with failure analysis to KRCL (Rail quoted shall be excluding GST Computer No.12360).
Conducting metallurgical investigation for rail fractures / SEJ failures, weld failures by doing all necessary tests such as hardness test, tensile strength, chemical composition etc. and submitting the reports with all necessary details including photographs etc. complete including collecting and transportation of rail samples with contractor's vehicle, labours etc. from KRCL, Corporate office, Belapur etc. complete. (a) Investigation of Rail/SEJ/Weld fractures. Note: The testing of the sample shall be done as per the IR specification IRS- T-12 for rails and as specified in the IR Manual for Flash Butt welding and Alumino Thermite welding as the case. The normal testing includes, visual examination, Micro examination, Chemical composition, mechanical properties of Hardness, tensile test etc.
