The World Bank is providinganalytical work and technical assistance through the Health SystemTransformation in India (HSTI) portfolio of advisory services and analytics.This portfolio aims to assist the Government of India at both the federal andstate levels in navigating the complex transitions required to build a moreeffective and responsive health system that can address the dual burden ofdisease while preparing for the challenges and opportunities arising with anaging population. HSTI is structured into three key pillars: Creating and sustaining a health system that delivers high-quality care.Improving access to comprehensive primary health care.Preparing the health system for a rapidly aging population. Pillar 1 focuses specifically on healthcare quality improvement, an area which this consultancy will exclusivelysupport. The objective ofthis consultancy is to assist the World Bank to provide technical assistance tofive priority states in reviewing the current state of quality of care and supportits enhancement through various targeted activities. The primary targetedactivity will be to support the development of Quality-of-Care Strategies(QoCS), through the assessment of the current state of quality of care, identifying priority areas for improvement, drafting the QoCS learning from thenational and international best practices and stakeholder consultation. Whilethe primary focus of this consultancy will be on the development of QoCS, itwill also provide cross-functional support to other related activities withinPillar 1, ensuring a holistic approach to improving health care quality.
