Item Description: 1.1 The Instrument should be portable light weight hand held and intrinsically safe for use in under ground coal mines for determination of percentage of inflammable gasses and vapours such as CH4 Methane CO Carbon Monoxide O2 Oxygen and CO2 Carbon Di Oxide in the general body of air 1.2 The Instrument should have valid DGMS approval on the date of tender opening for use in degree I II and III gassiness mine for continuous monitoring of CH4 CO O2 and CO2 in the general body of air 1.3 The measurement should be continuous 1.4 The display should be in the front Top part of the instrument for convenience to read 1.5 The instrument should have LCD or LED display 1.6 The instrument should have both audio and visual alarm 1.7 The instrument should have facility for connecting probe to allow measurement of inaccessible area of mine 1.8 Measurement Ranges of the instrument should be CH4 0 100 percent LEL minimum 0 5 percent volume percent CH4 CO 0 2000 ppm minimum O2 0 25 percent volume percent minimum CO2 0 5 percent volume percent minimum 1.9 Warranty of sensors should be Minimum CH4 5 years CO 5 years O2 5 years CO2 5 years 1.10 All other parameters of the instrument shall be as per DGMS approval 1.11 The Instrument shall be in ready to use condition with all accessories 1.12 The Instrument must have rechargeable battery 1.13 The OEM Supplier shall train and authorize persons from Rescue Services of SECL to calibrate and repair the offered instrument for whole life of the instrument within two months of nomination by General Manager Rescue SECL
