Bituminised Gunny Strips of 18 cms made from Hessian cloth of 406 GMS per Sqr. Mtr . as per IS 2818 Bitumen of Grade - 90/15 to IS : 702/88 other details are as under :BASE MATERIAL : Hessian cloth of 406 gms per Sqr Mtr. as per IS : 2818. BITUMEN : Bitumen should be applied completely spread over as specified the Bitumen contentshall be 100 /- 20 gm /m2. The Bitumen shall confirm to the requirements given in table - 1 corresponding to grade 90 / 15 of IS : 702/1988 . NOTE: a The polythene film to beused as surface linner on gunny strip should have smooth surface and should be free from pin holes air bubbles, fish eyes and excess wrinkles.b Testing of bitumen contentshall be done as per IS: 8477/1985.c width of the strip: minimum 18 cms.maximum 19 cms. d the firm to specifically certify the above specification while quotiing falling whichtheir offer may not relied upon for specification. NOTE- the bitumen should be applied at a suitable temperature on the fabric with the help of a mechanism set for reasonableuniform distribution.LINNER: low density virgin polythene film of natural colour of such thickness that corresponds to its mass of 23 g / r /- 10 percent 100 guage as per spec, IS:2508 of 1984 of high density polythene HM-HDPE film or natural colour to is IS 10889/1984 GR. I of such thickness that corresponds to its mass of 12.5g / m 2 /- 10 percent 50gauge .
