BOQ Item Description: Agadi Leather with Chain also known as the breastplate assembly is a heavy duty saddlery component designed for use with military riding saddles and military pack saddles employed on horses and ponies during operational transport logistics training ceremonial and field duties The assembly is intended to prevent backward movement of the saddle while traversing steep gradients mountainous terrain rocky surfaces snow covered areas glacier routes river crossings and other difficult environments encountered during military operations The product shall be manufactured using premium quality genuine buffalo leather conforming to heavy duty saddlery requirements and shall be suitable for prolonged outdoor use under varying climatic conditions including extreme cold high altitude rain dust mud and intense sunlight

The leather used for manufacturing the assembly shall be genuine vegetable tanned buffalo leather of superior quality with a minimum thickness of 4 point 5 mm and a uniform width ranging between 40 mm and 50 mm The leather shall be free from cuts cracks wrinkles loose fibres scars insect damage fungal growth surface defects weak grain and manufacturing imperfections that may adversely affect its strength or service life The leather shall possess adequate flexibility to conform comfortably to the animal while maintaining sufficient rigidity to withstand heavy operational loads without excessive stretching or deformation The leather shall be smooth finished with properly rounded and burnished edges to prevent abrasion and discomfort to the animal during prolonged use
