Tenders are invited for Solar Power Plant for Debmarine Namibia Line of Sight Station

Scope of Work:
Debmarine Namibia intend to upgrade its power supply for the radio communication station located at Kerbehuk, Oranjemund. The site is currently powered by a 41km 30kV overhead power line from Nam-deb`s main substation. A solar power plant solution is required as an alternative power supply to the existing aging power infrastructure at Kerbehuk.
1. The solar power plant solution should ensure that it;
Delivers at least 15kWpe;
Guarantees the supply of power for 3 days of no sunshine;
Includes a battery solution to store the energy for a period of 3 days;
Includes optimum DC bus voltage specified for maximum power transfer;
Includes inverter units with combined excess capacity of up to 300% to allow for redundancy;
Allows for switch-over to existing standby diesel generators;
Includes upgrading of existing 15kVA UPS to a 20kVA UPS with a maximum storage capacity of 3
hours, which shall act as a filter unit when running on standby diesel generators;
Includes a SACADA system that can be monitored remotely from Oranjemund and Windhoek;
Includes a fire protection system for the equipment room;
Includes air-conditioning for equipment rooms;
Includes maintenance tactics (schedules and task list) specified to sustain the integrity of the
system during its specified life;
2. Supply of design solution as specified in the Invitation to Tender document.
3. Installation and commissioning of the design solution above, which shall include construction and civil works for equipment rooms (both batteries and invertors).
