Expression of Interest are invited for Recruitment of Audit Quality Assurance Review Consultant

The objectives of this assignment are to conduct an audit quality assurance review, to support the capacity-building process of AABE's staff in this regard, and assist AABE's management in audit quality assurance review due process. The consulting services ("the Services") include the following but are not limited to:

Engage in setting a plan for audit quality assurance periodically
Assist in selecting firms to be reviewed based on in audit quality assurance review manual in a transparent way.
Update the audit quality assurance checklist for the firm selected for review
Prepare a schedule to review the firms selected.
Communicate with the selected firm by sending a pre-visit questionnaire
Receive and evaluate feedback collected using the pre-visit questionnaire distributed.
Book to conduct audit quality assurance review of the selected firm
Undergo kick-off/opening meeting with the audit firm
Lead a team in conducting the audit quality assurance review process.
Conduct audit quality assurance review with reference to ISAS, ISQM1, ISQM2, ISA 220 and International Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants.
Summarize review findings for exit conference and report writing
Prepare exit conference in collaboration with Audit Quality Assurance directorate
Write a report and communicate to the audit firm for feedback on the review findings
Write a report by incorporating feedback from the audit firm to communicate the review findings to the AABE's Director General
Assist other teams in conducting audit quality assurance review through peer-review scheme, so that the quality of audit quality assurance review report is assured.
Make sure that the transfer of knowledge is smoothly made within the team members and across the teams involved in the audit quality assurance review in particular and with audit financial review teams in general.
Write a report about the review findings of a group of firms along with recommendations, so that the market take a lesson out of it in order to improve the quality of audit. Assist in presenting review findings along with recommendations to different target groups if need arises.
Support and work with international consultants in the process of knowledge transfer and other relevant tasks such as designing and implementing risk-based audit quality assurance review.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director General, including but not limited to the preparation of Articles for Media as well development of various ToR's.
