Description : In this Request for Information (RFI), the UNSOS Procurement Section is trying to obtain information from the market that will allow the United Nations Support Office in Somalia to identify a suitable method to fulfill its requirement for the Provision of a Technical Global Positioning System Solution (i.e. in an environment with not GSM access) and Accessories for continious measurment of distance traveled by individual vehicles (odometer readings) and an almost realtime automatic transmision of odometer readings to cloud. The requirements are: 1) Accessories are required for a fleet of 2, 000 vehicles which includes various models and age of combat and transport military vehicles, trucks, APCs, buses, vans e.t.c. 2) The vehicles are operated throughout the teritory of the Somali Republic 3) A technical solution and accessories which measures and transmits distances covered by individual vehicles into a cloud on a 'real-time basis' 4) Ideally a device that is powered by vehicle battery or solar powered battery; 5) Rugged devices which can withstand rough terrains and climates. 6) The Cloud to have compatibility with Microsoft Power BI and excel, in order for the data to be exported at will; 7) Possible deployment of technical teams to Somalia to install the system on vehicles in multiple locations at once (i.e. at least two at once) and deliver training to mission personnel. 8) Accessories should have a simple, light footprint and shall be identifiable against an individual...
