E20 million electricity scheme projects at Hosea
Electricity scheme projects worth over E20 million will soon be launched at Hosea Inkhundla.
The area’s Member of Parliament (MP) Thulani Masuku said Minister of Natural Resources and Energy Jabulile Mashwama is expected to officiate the event.
The MP said everything is already in place adding that the electricity schemes, were projects already in full swing and close to 2 000 families have benefited. inkhundla He said these were projects the

Masuku said the schemes were not just benefiting families, but even schools and other establishments were covered.
He said financiers of these projects included the ministry of natural resources and energy under the rural electrification programme funded by the Republic of China on Taiwan, Micro Projects as well as the Regional Development Fund (RDF).
“Almost all existing homesteads under this constituency now have a power supply and are connected. There are also new businesses which have started operating because the area now has electricity. I don’t think we have any homestead that has not been powered, and if there is any, then it could be due to other reasons. The service has been brought to the people’s doorstep,” said the MP.
Pleased
MP Masuku said with his term of office coming to an end, he was pleased to leave having done a number of things for the constituency.
He said he would leave office with his head high and proud as together Inkhundla with the team, they managed to carry out the mandate given to him by the electorate.
“There is something to celebrate as we prepare to leave office as our time is almost up. We have something we can show as part of our achievements. Let me also take this opportunity to thank all the financiers of these projects and in particular, let me single out government for having been instrumental in ensuring that this development reached even us in the remote areas,” said MP Masuku.
