Daelim-Petrofac JV awards CB&I $50 million heater contract  Power and Energy

CB&I (CBI) announced that it has been awarded a contract worth in excess of $50 million by Daelim-Petrofac JV for the design and supply of delayed coking, hydrocracking, crude and vacuum heaters and a steam reformer for the Oman Refineries and Petrochemicals Company LLC (Orpic) project situated in Sohar, Oman.

Under independent contracts with Orpic, CB&I delivered the process technology for the delayed coker unit and its Chevron Lummus Global joint venture facilitated the technology for the hydrocracker unit. Also a FEED performed by CB&I, as earlier announced, and is functioning as project management consultant to Orpic for the project.
