Construction of Staff Quarters at Trincomalee Eastern University Campus Construction and Real Estate

1. The Chairman, Department Procurement Committee on behalf of the Eastern University, Sri Lanka invites sealed Bids from eligible and qualified Bidders for "Construction of Staff Quarters, Trincomalee Campus, Eastern University, Sri Lanka (Phase - 01)" as described below. •Registration with the Institute of Construction Raining and Development (ICTAD)/Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA) as a Contractor with Grade C-06 and above with specialty in Building Construction valid until the date of closing of the Bids. And

•Registered their business in the Eastern Province.

4. Qualification requirements to qualify for contract award include:

•Qualification requirements are as mentioned under Bidding Data Clause 4.4. If the qualification Is not met by the Bidder the Bid submitted may be treated as non-responsive.

5.Interested Bidders may obtain further information from the Senior Assistant Registrar / Capital Works, Trincomalee Campus, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, Konesapuri, Nilavell, Trincomalee, and inspect the Bidding Documents free of charge at the above address from 9.00 hrs to 15.00 his on any working day.

6.A complete set of Bidding Documents in English Language may be purchased by interested Bidders on submission of a written application to the Rector, Trincomalee Campus. Eastern University, Sri Lanka from 14th October. 2016 to 4th November, 2016 - between 9.00 hrs. and 15.00 hrs. upon producing a receipt for the payment of a non¬refundable fee of Rupees Five Thousand only (Rs. 5,000.00) made by cash to the Shroff of the Trincomalee Campus. Eastern University, Sri Lanka, Konesapuri, Nilaveli or in any branch of the People's Bank to be credited to the Senior Assistant Bursar. Rincomalee Campus A/C No. 066100172390446 with People's Bank. 7.Bids shall be delivered or sent in sealed envelopes with the title "Bid for construction of Staff Quarters, ltkicomalee Campus, Eastern University, Sri Lanka (Phase - 01)" on the top left hand corner of the envelope by Registered Post to reach the address given below on or before 07th November, 2016 at 2.00 p.m. The Bids received after this time and date will be rejected. Bids will be opened at the address given below soon after the closing the time and the date of the Bids in the presence of the Bidders or Bidders' Representative who choose to attend.

•For an amount of Rs. 300,000.00

•Valid up to 20th February 2017

•Issued by any Commercial Bank operating in Sri Lanka approved by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka or Construction Guarantee Fund
