This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice Issue no. 1/2016 for this Project which appeared in Zanzibar Leo Newspaper dated 15/04/2016 and Daily News Newspaper dated 15/04/2016.

The People's Bank of Zanzibar Limited has set aside funds during financial year 2016. It is intended that part of proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payments under the contract for Construction of (G+M+2) floors PBZ Malindi Corporate Branch and offices.

The People's Bank of Zanzibar Limited now invites sealed tenders from eligible National Contractors registered as Class I Build­ing/Civil Engineering Contractors.

Tendering will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the Public Procurement and Disposal of public Asset Act No 9 of 2005.

Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of Secre­tary Tender Board, the People's Bank of Zanzibar Limited, P. O. Box 1173- Zanzibar from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.

A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on submis­sion of written application to the address given on paragraph 5 above and upon payment of non-refundable fee of Two Hundred and Fifty thousand Shillings only (TZS 100,000) or its equivalent. Payment should be by Cash, Banker's Draft, or Banker's Cheque, payable to the People's Bank of Zanzibar Limited.

All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender security in the form of Banker's cheque payable to the People's Bank of Zanzibar Limited in the amount of Tanzania shillings five million only (TZS 5,000,000.00)

All tenders in one original plus three (3) copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address below:
