Aviation Sector Support Programme

The Proposed Service Contract Will Provide Support to the Relevant Authorities in Respect of the Civil Aviation Sector. To that End, Support Will be Provided in Respect of the Separation of Airport Management and Air Navigation Services, Creation of Business Plans, Etc. In Accordance with International Best Practice. The Technical Assistance Will Also Aid in the Development of a National Training Plan and Quality Control Programmes in Collaboration with the Appropriate National Bodies. The Service Contract Will Also Provide Assistance in the Procurement of Specialist Training Equipment and Will Provide Expertise to Manage a Programme Estimate on Behalf of the National Authorities.

The Proposed Service Contract Entails Supporting the Civil Aviation Sector through Long-Term Expertise Placed in Key Institutions (Including Zambia Airports Corporation Limited, Zambia Air Services Training Institute and Copperbelt University) and the Management of a Pool of Short-Term Experts to Deliver on a Wide Range of Related Topics.

Annex Iv to the Partnership Agreement between the Members of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States of the One Part, and the European Community and its Member States, of the Other Part, Signed in Cotonou on 23.6.2000 as Amended in Luxembourg on 25.6.2005 and in Ouagadougou on 22.6.2010. Reference is Made to Annex Iv as Revised by Decision No 1/2014 of the Acp–Eu Council of Ministers of 20.6.2014.

There Must be a Minimum Period of 30 Calendar Days between the Publication of this Prior Information Notice and the Publication of the Corresponding Contract Notice.
