420000 euros of budget for the project of reconquest Construction and Real Estate

A pilot operation to test the marine environment's ability to regenerate, Remora proposes to evaluate the return of ecological functions to previously degraded coastal marine habitats. It uses artificial reefs of innovative and unique design, located near Cap Sicié (BioHut Dike and BioHut Rivage). Thirty-six first modules were immersed early to form two twin reefs. The scientific monitoring of the project is scheduled for five years. The colonization of the reefs is already encouraging. This project is part of the actions provided for by the bay contract of the harbor of Toulon and its watershed. There are different types of users of this coastal zone, such as fishermen of the prud'homies. Veolia Water is one of the main industrial partners of the "Remora" project, which is associated with the Paul-Ricard Oceanographic Institute, the Mediterranean Sea Cluster and the Rhone-Mediterranean-Corsica Water Agency. In 2015, the first phase of this Siqueé Bay restocking project required a budget of around € 420,000 and received in 2017 the "biodiversity" label from the Ministry of Ecological Transition.
