Upgrading of four, series 3 MineARC refuge chambers to series 4
o The four MineARC refuge chambers to be upgraded are: - MASA 044, MASA 042,
MASA 045 and MAC 627.
Construct and well equip three 20 men permanent refuge chambers with below components:
o Five oxygen cylinders with Oxygen regulators, two scrubber units, three (each 8
persons) seating benches, radio, telephone, compressed air, water line, MineARC
door, Soda lime (8 drums), Oxygen candle (1), First Aid Kit, Stretcher (1), Gas
monitor/Pump (2), Gas tubes (CO & CO2) (5), Drinking water (60 Itrs), Portable toilet
(2), Toilet paper rolls (10), Toilet chemicals (3), Fire blanket (1), Safety signs &
Instructions, Cement (1x50kg bag), Fire Extinguisher (2x9Kg & 1x50Kg)
