Universal grinding machine (R571507)
As part of the open process, a CNC universal cylindrical grinding machine is used for manufacturing wave-shaped workpieces made of ceramics and other hard materialsen advertised. The aim is to maintain the manufacturing capabilities of the finish department at Fraunhofer IKTS. With the help of this machine, research projects as well as small series production of workpieces are to be carried out.
The universal cylindrical grinding machine is to have two external grinders on the controlled B-axisspindles and an internal grinding spindle to flexibly meet the requirements of research and industry. The aim is to procure a system that is easy to operate and at least meets the capabilities of the machine to be replaced. Due to the tools used, schOn balanced diamond grinding wheels, a dressing system is not desired. Likewise, no measuring control is required. The installation location is in the basement of the first construction phase of the new building. Access is via a light shaft and is then at ground level. The installation site itself is in mushte, length and height are limited, and the passages to reach them are also limited in width and height (see document 006_1 on-site conditions).
