General Procurement Notice for Training of Technical Agents for Water and Forests on Different Themes (Agroforestry, Technological Packages, Fire Fighting).
The Republic of Côte d`Ivoire has received financing from the African Development Bank Group in the form of loans and grants for the implementation of the Integrated Program for Development and Adaptation to Climate Change in the Niger Basin (PIDACC / BN) Ivory Coast component.
The overall objective of this program is to contribute to improving the resilience of populations and to increase the capacity for carbon sequestration.
Specifically, it aims to:
✓ Preserve the ecosystems of the Niger basin, in particular by reducing the silting up process of the Niger river;
✓ Improve the resilience of agro-pastoral production systems,
✓ Improve integrated and shared management of natural resources;
✓ Increase the forest cover of the old cocoa loop.
The PIDACC / BN Component Côte d`Ivoire program is structured around the following three components:
✓ Restoration of forest capital and improvement of the Resilience of the Center Regions;
✓ Improvement of the resilience of ecosystems and populations in the Niger sub-basin;
✓ Coordination and management of the COTE D`IVOIRE project.
