The horse stables originally used were converted into the columned halls into princely social rooms in the 19th century and provided with high-quality, wall-mounted fittings that have been preserved in their original substance.
Static cracking problems on the ceiling and walls including the surfaces, Rising damp with biogenic damage in the historical parquet panels and wooden floors and a defective and insensitive electrical installation on plaster illustrate the need for structural and restoration action.
The structural condition, lack of heating and sanitary sosuch as fire protection equipment (early fire detection) currently do not allow permanent use.
The offices and public areas of the State Archives directly adjacent to the columned halls do not meet the requirements for accessibility, visitor service and working conditionsings. For these reasons, it is planned to qualify the pillared halls for use by the State Archives.
The rooms are also to be available in parts for hybrid use by the STSG. In addition, in the course of planning, variants of partial use are to be examined by the STSGn.
The high-quality wall-fixed equipment is to be preserved or restored in its original substance and is accompanied by a restoration specialist planning.
Measures of monument protection are to be carried out with the aim of restoring the existing stock while maintaining ongoing operations...
