The Zambezi River Authority invites eligible consulting firms to express their interest in providing consulting services for the Batoka Gorge Hydro Electric Scheme. The services include electricity demand forecasting, generation, transmission and network assessment, regional power market analysis for Southern African Power Pool (SAPP) and East African Power Pool (EAPP), least-cost expansion and dispatch modelling using PLEXOS or equivalent software, financial and economic analysis, assessment of impacts on the Power Utilities in Zambia and Zimbabwe, and training and capacity building. Interested firms must demonstrate relevant experience in power market studies, energy economics, and power system modelling, including at least three similar assignments undertaken within the last fifteen years.
