The subject of the project is the transformation of the existing SAP ECC system to the future-proof SAP S/4HANA platform as well as the fundamental redesign of the core business processes. The aim is to create a modern, maintainable and powerful SAP system landscape that sustainably supports the technical requirements of the university hospital, meets regulatory requirements and at the same time ensures strategic alignment with SAP standards and innovations. The Homburg University Hospital is facing a decisive technological and organizational change. The strategy of increasing digitalization sees the modernization of the SAP ERP landscape not only as a technical requirement, but as a central basis for competitiveness/productivity, employer attractiveness and process security. The existing SAP ECC landscape is approaching the end of its life cycle (maintenance end 2027/2030). Today, consistent digitalization and efficient control are technologically limited.
