Tender Details

Tenders are invited for Rehabilitation of Poudre D'or Balancing Tank and Associated Works at Pumping Stations.
surface pumps at Poudre D-Or Balancing Tank. Characteristics of the new surface pumps to be

installed will be 2 Nos. Pumps with pumping capacity of 1200 m3/h x 60 m Head (1 duty pump +

1standby pump)

c. Construction of new pipe arrangement to connect the new surface pumps to the existing

pumping mains.

d. Realignment of two existing mains (300 mm DI and 250 mm DI) from the Poudre d-Or main

road to the Balancing Tank premises.

e. Demolition of existing chambers and construction of new chambers for Altitude Valves,

Sluice Valves, Pressure Reducing Valves, Boreholes and Washouts and installation of marker

posts.

f. Construction of thrust blocks and concrete surround for pipe protection and other

miscellaneous works.

g. Road crossings as shown on drawings as well as crossings under existing culverts, drains

and other services such as water pipes, telecom cables, etc.

h. Connections to existing pipes and diversion of existing services.

i. Site clearance, preparation and excavation works, including all temporary access provisions

and Site establishment.

j. Monitoring of temporary works, excavation stability, and stability of existing buildings,

structures and services that may be affected by the Works including Design, supply and

installation of temporary excavation support systems for the Works.

k. Liaison and coordination with authorities for diversion of existing services,

transplanting/felling of trees, or other similar activities related to the Works which shall be

executed by others, such as Statutory Authorities, Government Departments, and utility

companies.

l. All Electrical Works associated with refurbishments and upgrading works at the Poudre D-Or

Balancing Tank and the four (4) associated borehole sites as follows: Borehole 792 and 820

(same site) at Piton Bon Espoir, Borehole 123(111) and 124(1V) (same site) at Poudre d-Or

Hamlet Pumping Station, Borehole 537 at L-Esperance Trebuchet and Borehole 752 at Poudre

d-Or.

m. Design and supply, install, test and commission all electrical equipment to be used with

respect to pumping water from the four (4) borehole sites to Poudre D-Or Balancing Tank

n. The contractor shall design and supply, install, test and commission all mechanical

equipment to be used with respect to pumping water from the four (4) borehole sites to Poudre

D-Or Balancing Tank, whereby water disinfection will be carried out and subsequently water

pumped out to the two (2) reservoir sites.

o. Supply, transport to site, installation, testing and commissioning of the SCADA system

designed for control and supervision for Poudre d-Or Balancing tank and the associated 4

borehole sites, inclusive of fully designed Telemetry System.

p. Installation and commissioning of Surveillance Camera Systems

q. Asphalt works and placing of drains/kerbs

r. Reinstatement of damaged/disturbed buildings, structures, services, road surfaces, kerbs,

footways, turfed areas, etc.

s. Landscaping works within the work sites, including grass planting, cutting of bushes,

removal of foliage, lopping/felling of trees and carting away of same.

Any other work as may be required for the completion of the Works as shown on Drawings or as

specified in the Contract Documents or as directed by the Engineer.
Bidders are requested to attend a Pre-Bid meeting to be held in the PMO Conference Room,

CWA Head Office, St Paul, Phoenix on Tuesday 22 June 2021 at 10.00 hrs, which will be

followed by a Site Visit.
