Tenders are invited for Recruitment of Thirty-One (31) Youth Diplomated Engineers in the Public Works Sector.
2. It is in this context that the African Development Bank (AfDB) has put in place a strategy for youth employment over the 2016-2025 period . Implementing this strategy will create 25 million jobs for young people with an impact on 50 million people over the next decade.
3. In Côte d'Ivoire, the overview of the transport sector reveals the existence of many reference structures for the training of young managers in the construction sector, which trains engineers and senior technicians in the public works trades. and the building.
In agreement with the Government of Côte d'Ivoire, the Bank prepared the Abidjan Urban Transport Project (PTUA) approved on December 29, 2016. As part of this project, the Ivorian Government obtained financing from the African Development Bank Group. and intends to use part of these resources to finance the employability support of sixty (60) unemployed graduates in total through vocational training on the project roadworks.
4. Vocational training on construction sites is for young engineers of Ivorian nationality, graduates in the field of civil engineering, Option: Equipment (Roads and Transport) with less than five (5) years of seniority at the date of 31 December 2018 (2014-2018 or 2013- 2017). Candidates must demonstrate an ability to write reports in French and a spirit of synthesis. They must have a good knowledge of the computer tool. The
female candidates are strongly encouraged. Successful candidates will be made available to construction companies, inspection missions or the project coordination unit.
5. The duration of the training for each of the young graduates selected is equal to the time of execution of the contract of the company, the control mission or the coordinating unit that takes charge of it. The trainee will have to have a good behavior in company. The execution time of the work varies from fourteen (14) to thirty-two (32) months. The internship will be paid. The remuneration will be harmonized by category of trainee regardless of the place of residence and the place of assignment in Abidjan. 6. The selected young people will all be assigned to Abidjan where all the activities of the project will take place.
7. The Road Management Agency (AGEROUTE), acting on behalf of the Ministry of Equipment and Road Maintenance, hereby invites applicants to express their interest in benefiting from the services described above. Candidates interested in this recruitment notice must provide their diploma or the attestation of the engineering degree in civil engineering accompanied by the Curriculum vitae and a letter of motivation.
8. The selection of candidates will be based essentially on the examination of curricula vitae (CV). In addition to those indicated in point 4, interested candidates must meet the following minimum criteria : (i) be at least thirty-five (35) years of age, as of 31 December 2018, (ii) have completed at least one internship or exercised as an employee on a road construction site, (iii) have a good command of Excel and Word software and other software). At the end of the CV examination, the thirty-one (31) best candidates will be selected.
