Description:

1.The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) hereby solicit Expression of Interest (EOI) from qualified companies to provide electrical power upgrade for MONUSCO camps in Virunga, Kisangani, Bunia and Uvira in the Democratic Republic of Congo includes but not limited to the following: a) Supply and installation of one (1) 33/0.4 kV -160 kVA and one (1) 33/0.4kV – 400 kVA transformers, 33 kV New overhead Line through 50 mm 2, Erection testing and commissioning, and make operational Including others miscellaneous materials for new 33 KV electrical Line from existing Virunga MV Line to MONUSCO Premises, etc. b) Supply, transport, install, test & commission of new transformer package units 250kVA and 400kVA/6.6/ 0.4 kV + equipment + protective device and complete accessories. Package Unit, etc. c) Supply, transport, install, test & commission of new transformer package units 250kVA and 400kVA/6.6/ 0.4 kV + equipment + protective device and complete accessories. Package Unit, etc. d) Supply, transport, survey, design & install of new 15 kV Medium Voltage underground Line, 150 MM 2 + material + equipment, etc. All the above quantities are estimates only. Interested companies are invited to submit their EOI by courier, hand delivery or e-mail as indicated below. IMPORTANT NOTICE: 2. This request for EOI does not constitute a solicitation. MONUSCO reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the submission deadline; change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process, or select invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of capability in delivering similar products. Thus, submitting a response to this EOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. 3. Companies/Consultants interested in being considered for shortlisting for receipt of the MONUSCO solicitation document are requested to submit a written Expression of Interest, specifying the company`s profile, as per Vendor Response Form attached providing: (a) address, contact person, active telephone/fax numbers as well as e-mail contacts; (b) Company’s registration ID number (if already registered with UN) and UNGM registration number (www.ungm.org). c) Company must be registered in UNGM at least at Level 1 in order to be considered to participate in this UN solicitation. 5. Note that companies that have previously submitted EOIs for similar services with the UN must re-submit full documentation as detailed above. 6. Please note, this is NOT an invitation for submission of bids. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested to participate in the solicitation when issued. 7. A detailed Statement of Requirements (SOR) will be provided in the future to companies shortlisted for receipt of official MONUSCO solicitation. 8. The MONUSCO will examine the outcome of this request for EOI and will consider those companies that have expressed their interest providing the required information as to their ability to fulfill MONUSCO’s requirement. 9. The MONUSCO reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this EOI does not automatically guarantee that your firm will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. The tender and any subsequent commitment to contract will be issued in accordance with UN rules and regulations.
