Description:

The United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS) seeks Expression of Interest (EOI) from competent and qualified companies for the provision of Waste Management Services in 6 regions in Somalia: Sector 1 - (Mogadishu and Baledogle), Sector 2- Dhobley, Sector 3- Baidoa, Sector 4- Belet Weyne, Sector 5- Jowhar and Sector 6- Kismayo. UNSOS is planning to put in place a five-year contract for the provision of Waste Management Services. The successful Contractor`s responsibilities shall be to provide the following services in UNSOS/ AMISOM camps in Somalia: i. Supply, delivery and Installation of materials and consumables: Waste Collection Bins, biohazard disposal bags, containers for medical waste and signboards; ii. Civil Works: design and construction of Waste Collection Points and Waste Management Yards (Sanitary landfills, Waste Stabilization Ponds and Composting Trenches); iii. Solid Waste (Garbage/Refuse/Recyclables and Hazardous Waste Materials) Collection, Segregation, Transportation, Treatment and/or Disposal; iv. Liquid Waste/Sludge Removal & Cleaning of Grease Traps; and v. Operation & Maintenance of Waste Management Yards, Facilities and equipment (shredders and incinerators).
