This invitation for Expression of Interest (EoI) follows the General Procurement Notice for the South West Indian OceanFisheries Governance and SharedGrowth program SWIOFish that was published in the DevelopmentBusiness, issue No. WB 4892 of October, 2015.
TheGovernment of United Republic of Tanzania has received a Credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards thecost of the SWIOFish program and intends to apply part of theproceeds for the consultancy Institutional support and technical backstopping for prioritymarine fisheries research in Tanzania Theobjective of the consultancy services will be to provide technical backstopping to the SWIOFish Tanzania Project Research Committee(PRC) in respect of priority marine fisheries research activities conducted under theSWIOFish project, with the aim of contributinga broader regional/international perspective, experience and expertise in ensuring high quality researchoutputs.Thepriority marine fisheries in question are tuna and tuna like species; small pelagic; prawns; octopus; and reeffisheries.
