GLOBAL ENVIRONMENT FACILITY MICRO FUNDING PROGRAM (PMF / GEF) CALL FOR PROJECTS I. INTRODUCTIONThe Fund`s MicroFinancing Programfor the Global Environment (PMF / GEF) is a financial mechanism, created by the GEF in 1992 and implemented by UNDP, to reduce the threats to the global environment, through the financing of innovative projects of Civil Society (CSO). Since 2009, the SGP / GEF has been supporting civil society organizations in Togo, in all fiveGEF: biological diversity, climate change, international waters, land degradation and chemicals and wastes. To date, the SGP / GEF has funded 94 projects in Togo, for a total of more than two million six hundred thousand (2, 600, 000) USD. For its sixth operational phase, Togo abBenefit from additional funding to participate in the implementation of the Innovation Program on Youth and Climate Change. This program aims to make young people more accountable for climate issues, through awareness raising, training, financing of concrete initiatives andInnovative on the ground, knowledge sharing, as well as capitalization and dissemination of good practices. The maximum amount that the PMF / GEF can grant to each project is 50, 000 USD and the duration of projects is 18 months maximum. II. INVITATIONNGOs, non-profit development associations and community-based organizationsAse, qualified and interested, are invited to submit their application, consisting of a copy of a document attesting to their legal existence inTogo, a brief note and a detailed project proposal.
