ISO TC 22 (Road Vehicles) / SC 31 (Data Communication) sees the need for an international standard (ISO) for data communication for the maintenance, diagnosis and repair of electric vehicles or zero-emission vehicles (ZEV: Zero-Emissions Vehicles) to develop. In December 2022 hasthe SAE published the SAE J1979-3 E/E Diagnostic Test Modes: Zero Emission Vehicle Propulsion Systems on UDS (ZEVonUDS), with the participation of European experts. SAE J1979-3 describes the communication between zero-emission propulsion systems and test equipment required by the governmentare written. The standardization regulations require that passenger cars and light, medium and heavy-duty trucks provide a minimum level of diagnostic information for external (on-board) "generic" test equipment. The subject of this tender is the takeover of the projectof the ISO/SAE project described in the introduction. The coordination of the project is to be taken over by SAE together with the counterpart in order to ensure the development of the standard across the individual process stages. In essence, this means: • Attachment of the project structure (in the interaction of theorganisations) • Organization and management of project meetings • Standard development and document management • Scheduling of the process steps • Project monitoring and coordination with ISO and SAE • Handling of comment consultations
