Tender Details

Tenders are invited for Project Desalination of Sea Water Mamelles.

1. The Government of the Republic of Senegal has received a loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency to finance the des Mamelles seawater desalination project. The National Water Company of Senegal (SONES), beneficiary, is the executing agency of the project. It is intended that a portion of the funds from this Loan will be used for eligible payments under the contract resulting from the call for tenders for which this prequalification is conducted.

2. SONES intends to prequalify contractors and / or companies for the improvement works of the drinking water distribution network of Dakar 1 by sectoring and renewing pipes including fittings parts, taps and the renewal of connections. This project includes two markets below:

- Lot 1: Sectorization work and renewal of pipes of diameter DN 90 mm to 800 mm for a linear of about 230 km in the zones of Almadies, Parcelles Assainies, Grand Yoff and Mermoz Sacré Coeur

- Lot 2: Work of sectorization and renewal of pipes of diameter DN 90 mm to 700 mm for a linear of about 210 km in the areas of Grand Dakar, HLM and Dakar Plateau.

This prequalification file intends to allow the selection of companies for the tender submission in two (02) lots. The two (02) lots may be awarded to a single bidder (sole proprietorship or consortium) at the end of the bid analysis procedure following the pre-qualification stage.

3. It is expected that the tender notice will be launched in July 2019.

4. Prequalification will be conducted according to the pre-qualification procedures specified in the applicable procurement guidelines under Japan ODA loan financing, and is open to all Applicants from eligible countries of origin, as defined in Loan Agreement.

The files can also be obtained electronically for candidates who have previously purchased the file via a bank transfer to an account that will be specified at their request.
