The Government of Mozambique has applied for financing in the amount of US$ 148mequivalent from the WorldBank toward the cost of the Mozambique Energy for All Project (ProEnergia), and it intends toapply part of the proceeds t o payments for goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under thisproject. This project will bejointly financed by the World Bank administered Multi-Donor Trust Fund currently funded by theGovernments of Norway and Sweden.
The project will include the following components: Component A – Peri-urban andrural electrification - implemented byEDM, includes: supply in bulk of Distribution Transformers, Cables and Conductors, Pre-paidMeters, Wooden Poles, Isolators, Ready Boards and Pole mounted meter Boxes, LV Distribution Boards; Installation of MVand LV Distribution Networks and Service C onnection including Supply of Accessories, supply of goods and Equipment for PIU andproject Office, and consulting services f or detailed Design and Supervision to be procured through open internationalcompetitive procurement. Component B – Off-grid e lectrification - implemented by FUNAE includes: Supply andInstallation of Solar Kits; Supply and Installation Services for Sol ar Mini Grids; Hiring of service provider for promote theexpansion of Solar Home Systems, Water pumping systems and also the distri bution of improved cookstoves through a Results BasedFinancing mechanism; Design and Supervision of Works; Goods and Eq uipment for PIU and Capacity Building also to beprocured through open international competitive procurement.
Pro curement of contracts financed by the World Bankwill be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers(July 2016) (Procurement Regulations), and is open to all eligible firms and individ uals as defined in theProcurement Regulations. After project negotiations, the World Bank shall arrange the publicat ion on its external websiteof the agreed initial procurement plan and all subsequent updates once it has provided a no objection.
Specificprocurement notices for contracts subject to open international competitive procurement will be announced, as theybecomeavailable, in UN Development Business online, on the World Bank’s external website and Jornal NotíciasofMozambique.
