The Government of the Republic of CA'te d'Ivoire obtained from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), totaling 8, 000, 000 USD 4 billion CFA francs as a loan to finance the Project Post-Conflict Reconstruction of the Professional College of Odienne.

Project Objective

The rehabilitation of Vocational High School Odienne, project purpose contributes to the achievement of the objectives of the Government of Cote d'Ivoire in the area of vocational training by developing a vocational training system accessible to all and tailored to the Ivorian Economy needs by 2021.

The REC-LPO Project will contribute to the improvement of access and the quality of vocational training in the north-western region of CA'te d'Ivoire, for:

- Rehabilitation and equipment of the Professional College of Odienne (LPO)

- The development of curricula and training program . Trainers

The project revolves around three (03) components:

- Component 1: Improved access to vocational training: (i) rehabilitation of 21 existing buildings. They are: classrooms, administrative buildings, workshops, laboratories, a library, ablution blocks, houses and staff dormitories, kitchen, refectory, external works, roads and utilities (VRD) including access roads, fences, parking, drainage system, green areas, water supply channels and facilities of wastewater treatment, (ii) the restoration of the electricity network and (iii) acquisition teaching and non-teaching equipment and other materials, and furniture including three categories: (1) equipment of laboratories and workshops in the sector "Food Engineering" (2) equipment of laboratories and workshops for the "industrial engineering" and (3) furniture, non-teaching equipment and other materials to the administrative block, offices of teachers, classrooms, laboratories, workshops, cooking and restaurant, infirmary, dormitories and libraries and computer equipment.

- Component 2: Improving the quality of vocational training: (i) curriculum development and (ii) training programs and / or recycling of 220 teachers, inspectors, educational advisers and administrative staff institutions of vocational training.

- Component 3: Management Support Project: (i) Support to the operations of the Project Management Unit, (ii) mid-term review, (iii) procedures manual ( iv) consultants for supervision of the work and (v) audit.

The award of works and supplies market will be made -i?1/2-i?1/2pursuant to Directives and Procurement Procedures and conditions of purchase of services and goods of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) (November 2006

The selection of consultants will be in the sense of the Guidelines and IDB procurement procedures for the Use of Consultants from Islamic Development Bank (November 2006).

The opinions on the different markets that need be awarded in accordance with appeal procedures to international competition limited to the countries of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) will be published as they become available in the international and national newspapers. The acquisition of equipment and teaching materials laboratories and workshops will be by way of International Call Offer limited to nationals companies of IDB member countries.
