Performance Work Statement
The Embassy is seeking to renew the structure and the Sunbrella sunshade material, or equivalent
brand, on several parking canopies.

1. Removal of existing Sunbrella sunshade material.
2. Inspect existing metal support structure for any evidence of rust, corrosion, breakage, or
damage that will affect current metal structure of supporting new sunshade material.
3. Any damaged area needs to be made know to the Faculties Manager or his designated
representative.
4. Repair any damaged area as required
5. Repaint the current structure after it is inspected and proven to be in good shape.
6. Recover the clean and newly painted structure, with new Sunbrella sunshade material or an
equivalent brand.
7. The sunshade material needs to be able to withstand the harsh sun and the heavy
wind/rainstorms of Kinshasa DRC.
8. The material must be installed in a way that will allow sections to be removed independently
for repair or replacement as if needed.
9. The sunshade material must be waterproof and fade resistant polyethylene. Color should be
close to same color as current material. The current color is beige/khaki.
10. All workers must have proper personal protective equipment (PPE) for this type of work, IE
safety helmet, gloves, safety glasses or shields, proper protective clothing, and proper safety
boots and any other equipment required for this type of work.
11. Any electrical equipment must be safe, with proper plugs, with proper guards and in good
working order.
12. The contractor must leave the work site clean every working day and is responsible for
evacuating all debris;
13. The job must be performed by qualified technicians and the supervisor must be present and
on site, at all times.
14. The job must meet the deadline according to the agreed timeframe;
15. All products and material must be pre-approved by Facilities Manager and be delivered on
site, prior to the work starting.
