Cabeólica, S.A. (Cabeolica) owns and operates 4 wind farms (WF) Total 25.5 MW (Vestas V52-850 kw wind turbines(WT)). Existing WF located in Cabo Verde, islands of Santiago (11 WT), São Vicente (7 WT), Sal (9 WT) and Boa Vista (3 WT). Average wind speed is approx. 9 m/s. Lenders EIB and AfDB. Procurement for EPC comprising: - expansion of Santiago WF with 3 to 5 WT (approx. 13 MW additional capacity) - a BESS of approx. 5 MW/MWh for grid stability control to be installed at Santiago wind site - a BESS of approx. 5 MW/MWh for grid stability control and short term storage to be installed at Sal wind site Project financed with debt and EPC contract structured with a risk allocation typical for such financing. The EPC Contractor will be selected based on restricted procedures from the shortlist of pre-qualified EPC contractors drawn up by this international open call for EOI.
