The community of Großer Bruch and the city of Oschersleben are planning to build a new cycle path along the former railway line between Gunsleben, Neu-wegersleben and Oschersleben. The aim is to make the neighboring regions suitable for both tourist cycling as well as for everyday traffic to be better connected. At the same time, safe paths should be created for walkers as well as for children and young people. As part of the approval planning, a preliminary examination of FFH compatibility is required. A variant study for the route was not carried out because the existing route of the former railway line dictates the course of the future cycle path. The cycle path should be constructed of concrete with a 2.5% cross-slope and a width of 2.50 m on one A total distance of approx. 11.5 km will be created. The railway line to be mapped and evaluated is partly located in the area of ​​the Große Bruch near Wulferstedt (FFH0043). This FFH area is located west of Oschersleben directly in the Western Börde.
