Assignment Description

IFC intends to create large-scale awareness for the value that the EDGE green building program brings and to realize significant uptake of the certification system in Ghana. The assignment is to use B2B marketing techniques to connect, engage, and convince property developers, construction firms, architectural and engineering firms, and the financial sector that EDGE is the right solution to transform the real estate sector, making early adopters leaders in the market. The identification and uptake of these early pioneers will prime the market and influence other developers through growing evidence that certified green buildings deliver brand equity and tangible monetary results.

The B2B campaign will focus on research, events execution, and media engagement within the Accra market. There are two components: research and database development for marketing and engagement purposes, and planning and delivery of a marketing event that attracts considerable attention and galvanizes others into action. Success will be determined by whether we can transition the marketing effort from the peer-to-peer environment to the establishment of long-term, powerful client relationships at the portfolio level. The desired outcome will be to seed the market with both greater recognition of the value of EDGE, as well as to qualify leads to help the local partner to achieve certification targets.

Qualification Criteria

· 1. Confirmation of at least 6 years of marketing and events experience within the designated market.

· 2. Demonstration of a high level of experience through the provision of a list of important clientele.

· 3. Assigning a dedicated A-team of events professionals with senior management oversight.

· 4. Evidence of major contacts in either the property and/or financial sectors.
