Mainzer Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH is carrying out the following measure: • Renovation of the Kurmainz-Kaserne (KMK) tram stop in Mainz-Oberstadt. Both the direction of travel towards the city center and the direction of travel out of town will be renewed. Preliminary remark: Mainzer Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH is renewing the Kurmainz barracks tram stop in Mainz-Oberstadt. Both the direction of travel towards the city center and the direction of travel out of town will be renewed. Measures: • Extension of the Stops to a standard height of 45m • Raising the platform edges to the standard height of 24cm above the top edge of the rails • Guide system for the blind • Renewal of the waiting hall & stop equipment in the direction of the city center • Renewal of the lighting system • Head beam renovation of the underpass • Protective measures on the gas pipe • Track work Special difficulties of the construction site: The construction site is located in the urban area of ​​Mainz-Oberstadt on an island between the lanes of Brüder-Scholl-Straße. Tram traffic: Due to parallel measures, a rail replacement service will be set up on the section from Wednesday, June 29th, 2026 (week 27) to Friday, October 16th, 2026 (week 42). During this period, work must be carried out at the stop be performed. Preliminary and remaining work must be carried out while the tram is in operation. To calculate the offer, the times can be found in the timetable for lines 50, 52 and 53 (see Mainzer Mobiltität website). Disabilities are in to calculate the unit prices.
