Description: UNICEF Office Banjul with role of addressing the long-term needs of children and women in TheGambia has been facing challenges with the electricity supply in general affecting its daily operation. The lack of a stable and extended electricity system represented the most serious obstacle tobusiness in the country. UN House is not spared from these constraints and have installed a generatorwith a back-up one to face the issue of electricity instability provided by the National Agency. Theelectricity supplies from both the Grid and backup generator flows direct to the equipment unregulatedsometimes with fluctuating voltages and spikes causing equipment damage and blackout in the UNHouse during working hours. To tackle this electrical issue, UNICEF uses individual backup UPS that can only keep their staffappliances for a short time and keep the ICT room functioning for a very short time. To ext...
