The Zimbabwe Joint SDG Fund Programme: Catalyzing Investment into Renewable Energy for the Acceleration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Zimbabwe is a joint initiative implemented by the United Nations system in partnership with the Government of Zimbabwe and key stakeholders. The Programme seeks to accelerate progress towards SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and related SDGs through the mobilization of public and private investment in renewable energy solutions.The Zimbabwe Joint SDG Fund Programme: Catalyzing Investment into Renewable Energy for the Acceleration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Zimbabwe is a joint initiative implemented by the United Nations system in partnership with the Government of Zimbabwe and key stakeholders. The Programme seeks to accelerate progress towards SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and related SDGs through the mobilization of public and private investment in renewable energy solutions. Since its inception in March 2022, the Programme has supported the development of innovative financing mechanisms, strengthened the renewable energy ecosystem, enhanced stakeholder coordination, improved policy and regulatory frameworks, and facilitated investment in renewable energy projects across Zimbabwe.
