Description:

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) hereby invites qualified companies, NGOs and institutions to submit proposals to to establish an institutional structure which assures reliable operation of improved water sources providing safe water to schools and communities in rural areas in Uganda.
This will involve capacity building for both local government officials at district and sub-county level, for local private sector actors such as water source technicians and for community and school water user committees (WUCs). The structures developed by the program, and the training offered, should focus on formation of public-private partnerships (PPPs) at district level, in which the principal actors will be the WUCs, local rural waters service providers such as “utilities”, and district local governments (DLGs).
