The Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea has requested and obtained from the African Development Bank a loan for the financing of the PASPA Fisheries and Aquaculture Sector Value Chain Support Project .

This project has the following main objectives:

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the improvement of food security and living conditions of the target populations through the promotion of value chains of the fishing sector and aquaculture.

Specifically, the project aims to:

(i) increase and enhance fish production through the sustainable development of aquaculture, artisanal fisheries and industrial fisheries, and

(ii) strengthen drinking water and sanitation infrastructure. This will ultimately ensure a better supply of fish (fresh and smoked) to the local market, reduce imports, export to the countries of the sub-region, increase incomes and improve the quality of life. employability of young people as well as access to drinking water and sanitation.

The project (PASPA) consists of three (03) components:

? Component A: Improving access to fisheries, aquaculture and drinking water infrastructure

? Component B: Capacity Building for Fisheries and Aquaculture Sector Stakeholders

? Component C: Project Management and Coordination
