Expression of Interest are invited for Guinea-Bissau Renewable Energy Jobs Assessment
The World Bank is seeking to conduct a renewable energy jobs assessment to understand the impact of renewable energy growth - primarily solar energy - planned under Guinea-Bissau least-cost development plan (LCDP) on job creation, skill development and capacity building in Guinea-Bissau. The objective of the study is to capture the impact of direct, indirect and (to the extent possible) induced jobs, and associated net job estimates resulting from energy generation planned in LCDP. This will include identification of potential for developing local capabilities for market development, private sector participation through MSMEs, skill development and training for opearation and maintenance, as well as barriers for such potential. The analyses and recommendations will be disaggregated by age group, gender, income tiers, educational tiers, sub-national regions of the country depending upon data availability and modelling limitations.
