Expression of Interest are invited for Battery Storage Installation in Senegal. Preparation of Tender Documents and Implementation Support.
With the objective of facilitating the development and integration of renewable energies in Senegal, this study aims to prepare the tender documents to put in place battery storage (60MW capacity 30mn 1h for frequency regulation) and their integration in the electricity network for their installation and operation in the short term. The Consultant should prepare the tender documents for the installation, integration of these batteries and their operationalization during one year. Based on the existing studies, the Consultant should confirm the size and location of the battery storage.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Interested firms are hereby invited to submit expressions of interest.
Expressions of Interest should be submitted, in English, electronically through World Bank Group eConsultant2 (https://wbgeconsult2.worldbank.org/wbgec/index.html)
The Consulting Firm will be required to mobilize a team of experts with diversified technical competencies. The Consultants team must include at least: Battery storage specialist and a SCADA/Dispatching specialist. The team must be able to work in French as well as English. Experience in working in the power sector in Africa is desirable.
Please limit the EOI to 30 pages
NOTES

Following this invitation for Expression of Interest, a shortlist of qualified firms will be formally invited to submit proposals. Shortlisting and selection will be subject to the availability of funding.
Only those firms which have been shortlisted will receive notification. No debrief will be provided to firms which have not been shortlisted.
Qualification Criteria

· 2. The firm has the technical and managerial capabilities to carry out the assignment.
· 3. The firm's core business and years in business are adequate for the assignment
· 4. Key staff are qualified for the assignment
