Tenders are invited for Botswana Emergency Water Security and Efficiency Project
Closing Date: 04 June 2018 at 10:00 (Local Time)
Restriction: Eligibility: Local consultant must be registered with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board in the following categories: Environmental Services (Code: 313) with any of the following Sub-Codes: 01 - Environmental assessments, 03 - Environmental Engineering and Monitoring Services, 04 - Environmental Management Systems, 05 - Natural Resource Planning and Management, 06 - Environmental Policy and Legislation, 07 Auditing and Monitoring Services. Or Water Engineering Services (Code: 306) with the following Sub-Code: 02 - Water Resources Planning. Submission of company's Tax Identification Number from Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS). Verification will be done online. Foreign companies to submit copy of Tax Exemption Certificate issued by BURS. Submission of Curriculum Vitae for all proposed key staff. In case of Joint Venture (JV) a Copy of the JV Agreement is required with all parties in the JV required to submit all Compliance Documents. Submission of a duly completed Declaration Form for tendering purposes; Must demonstrate availability of appropriate skills among staff related to the assignment: Evidence of relevant skills for Project Team Leader (strategic leadership. financial management, proven experience in developing and/or implementing water related strategy/policy framework especially in developing countries). Water Resources Specialist/Planner and Policy/Strategy development specialist to be engaged. Relevant experience in similar assignments and environments:The consulting firm must provide information on projects undertaken in the past ten (10) years with a brief description of each project, funding source(s), contract amount and the employer. Along with this, the consultant must also have completed at least two (2) similar works (projects or consultancies in water resources planning, development and management. Water allocation studies, Natural Capital Accounting, Integrated Water Resources Management in Botswana or within the SADC region) in terms of scope, complexity and value in the past five (5) years. Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub-consultancy to enhance their qualifications and certified copies of references must be attached. Availability of appropriate skills among staff related to the assignment: Evidence from CVs of appropriate skills including Project Team Leader (Water Resources or Natural Science expert), Supporting team of; a Social/Environmental Economist professional and a GIS professional. Shortlistine of the Consulting firms will be carried out according to the World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (Regulations), revised July 2016 ("Consultant Guidelines").
