OPEN INTERNATIONAL CALL FOR TENDERS FOR THE DESIGN, SUPPLY AND ASSEMBLY OF DRIP COLLINARY IRRIGATION SYSTEMS (including related equipment and works) BY PHOTOVOLTAIC PUMPING OF COHOHA AND RWERU LAKE WATERS ( 50ha) IN THE FORM OF TURNKEY UNITS IN KIRUNDO PROVINCE.

1. This notice of invitation to tender (AAO) follows the general procurement notice of the project published in Development Business online published on January 22, 2018 and on the Bank`s portal ( www.afdb.org ) .

2. The Government of the Republic of Burundi has received a Grant from the African Development Fund (ADF- Transition Support Facility, Pillar I) to cover the cost of the Support Project for the Transformation of Agriculture in the Natural Region of Bugesera (PATAREB) and intends to allocate part of the proceeds of this Donation to payments relating to the Design, Supply, Installation of Drip Hill Irrigation Systems Installations (including related equipment and works) by photovoltaic pumping of the waters of Cohoha and Rweru lakes (50ha) in the form of turnkey units in Kirundo province.

3. The Support Project for the Transformation of Agriculture in the Natural Region of Bugesera (PATAREB) invites, by the present Call for tenders, the tenderers admitted to participate in presenting their offers under closed envelope, for the Design, Supply, Installation of Installations of drip irrigation systems (including equipment and related works) by photovoltaic pumping of the waters of Cohoha and Rweru lakes (50ha) in the form of turnkey units.

4. The open international invitation to tender will take place in accordance with the Methods and Bank procedures for the acquisition of Goods as defined in the "Procurement Policy for Operations Financed by the African Development Bank Group", October 2015.

5. 6. The tender dossier may be purchased by the candidates, upon written request to the service mentioned above and against payment of a non-refundable amount of one hundred and fifty thousand Burundian francs (150, 000 BIF), half of which ( BIF 75, 000) will be paid into the State`s non-tax revenue transit account no.1101 / 001.04 opened at the Bank of the Republic of Bujumbura (BRB) and the other half (BIF 75, 000) to account n ° 13108- 00100124631-35 opened at the Bank of Credit of Bujumbura in the name of RECIPES PATAREB.

7. The clauses of the Instructions to tenderers and those of the General administrative clauses are the clauses of the standard tender documents for the acquisition of equipment - design contracts, supply and assembly of installations, of the Bank .

8. Offers must be submitted to the Secretariat of the Agricultural Transformation Support Project in the Bugesera Natural Region (PATAREB) in Kirundo no later than April 20, 2020 at 10 a.m. and be accompanied by a guarantee submission of an amount at least equal to Twenty Three million Burundian francs (23, 000, 000 BIF).

9. Offers must be valid for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days following the deadline for submission of offers.
