Description of the Assignment: Development of an Android gamification application for electoral civic educationContext and justificationThe promotion of civic education and informed electoral participation constitutes a fundamental pillar for strengthening the democracy in São Tomé and Príncipe.Despite the existence of official content validated by the National Electoral Commission (CEN), traditional methods of disseminating civic information have demonstrated limitations in terms of reach, attractiveness and retention of knowledge, particularly among young people. The use of digital technologies and, in particular, the use of gamification approaches, has proven to be effective in promoting civic engagement, transforming traditionally passive activities into interactive, motivating and rewards-based experiences. Elements such as points, challenges, rankings and immediate feedback contribute significantly to increasing motivation and continuous learning. Thus, we propose the development of an application gamified Android mobile phone, with official content provided by CEN, to support: Understanding electoral processes (presidential and legislative) Knowledge of citizens' rights and duties Informed participation in elections 2.
