Neutralization of the Bergbaufolgeseen: Zwenkauer See, Stoermthaler See and Hainer See by means of water treatment ship

To counteract the natural back acidification of the 3 Bergbaufolgeseen Zwenkauer See, Stoermthaler See and Hainer See is provided in the period from 2018 to 2022 in the lakes by means of a water treatment vessel to introduce alkaline limestone powder.-Every year, an entry campaign is planned for each lake during the full sea circulation (around November, March), if necessary, another neutralization campaign is also provided as an option. First of all, it is planned to bring in 4 250 t of limestone flour annually. Depending on the demand for limnological reasons, additional input quantities of up to 2, 400 tonnes per year are requiredpossible. All entries and the resulting effects on the parameters of the lake should be monitored and documented (including entry quantity, location and time, pH value, KS and KB value).

Georeferenced monitoring of the entry of KSM, consisting of entry quantity, location, time, pH value measurement on ship-bound probe (before limescale entry), daily measurements of depth profiles using multiparameter probe (pH, Value, temperature, conductivity, turbidity), weekly measurements KS4, 3 (acid capacity) us KB 8, 2 (base capacity)

Tuee Benefit is foreseen for 2019 and 2020 with option for 2021 and 2022.
